After seeing the poll result for our deepavali celebrating , I got to know that majority of the voters are willing to sacrifice the celebration and many voters who want to celebrate it in a moderate way. I was put in a shocked and surprised stage after seeing the voters having thoughts of celebrating deepavali in a moderate way for the sake of preserving our culture. WOW! I never thought , our indian brothers and sisters are keen in preserving our culture! It is a good start to create a valuable society.

Let me tell you an incident that happened to myself and Indian Club in my school during my higher secondary studies somewhere in 1985 . We were about 100 indian students and we had a very beautiful Indian Club. At the begining we were very united and were excelling with many wonderful activities. Then came two boys from another school to my school. These two boys started all the problems. Suddenly there was a slight misunderstanding among the president of the club and the boys whom I will brand them as rowdys. None of the teachers in my school like these boys. They were so well known for their roughness and rudeness. This group of boys made so much of disturbance and nuisance just to ruin this beautiful Indian Club.

We are talking about Indians being marginalised by BN, MIC and all. Do we really know what is going on? These are views and comments from many of my friends.

(1) Who is really marginalising us?

As mentioned by PWM that our only hope to get the 5 ISA detainees out are currently on Pakatan Rakyat MP's that once they seize the federal government all ISA detainees will be released, though Dato Seri Anwar is still very optimistic on the date (16 Sept) he believes the power shift will happen but I assume most of us are not convinced especially after looking at the dirty tricks played by UMNO/BN. Now the question is what is our next course of action in case Sept 16 happened to be not "OUR" day. What are HINDRAF's plans then ..................

Today counts as 240 days Hindraf 5 under unlawful detention ! They were detained under dracanion law called ISA just for arrogant BN UMNO`s own political benefits. The number 240 shows the depth of sacrifices by our Hindraf 5 brothers for our community in this country. The same number 240 shows the depth of karmas or sins gathered by BN UMNO`s politician.
The great day will come soon for our heroes to get the freedom . The sinful people who create this hardship situation will be punished by GOD. The freedom is nearing and we shall remain united to achieve our goals.
A big salute for all our brothers who have scarified their freedom for us. GOD BLESS YOU AND HINDRAF.

Well aware that Bar Council is now split into two groups. One is seeking for independent, justice and of course fair trial. Another group is following the current arrogant federal government’s index finger. The scenario is showing as though people are now more alert to discriminations and want equal opportunities in the form of fair trial/justice.
Our federal constitutions are saying that, everyone in our country is free to practice and apply their religion in their daily life. But due to some selfish politicians, this freedom in religion has been manipulated by them just for their own political benefits.

hi all brothers and sisters,
we are fully aware that we are the individuals who are now carrying the Hindraf struggle on our shoulders. Each of us has to fight for our rights and bring the pride back to our community. This is not an easy task. It needs a lot of patience, sacrifices, tolerance and etc.
As a Malaysian Indian, we need to learn to live with community and for community. In order to achieve that, we need to throw away our silly thoughts about differs in caste, religion and mother tongue. We need to obtain high class mentality to guide and educate our younger generations.

Hindraf waits on Pakatan promises but still backs it

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3 — The Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf), frustrated at the slow pace of Pakatan Rakyat's promises to help poor Indians, hopes the federal opposition would do more to fulfill its election manifesto.

Interim leaders, speaking at its first annual Jalur Gemilang launching ceremony here today, urged Malaysian Indians to continue the struggle for equality despite the loss of its top leadership and lack of tangible change after helping to wrest four states from the Barisan Nasional.

For 50 long years including the last 30 years under Samyvellu and his MIC, the Indians virtually kept their mouths shut. They
did not rebel, speak up or demonstrate and many of them still blindly follow Samyvellu in spite of the fact that he has betrayed the Indians, stole from the Indians and cheated them outright.

But today the Indians are impatient and want everything to be done immediately. They are pushing Pakatan Indians Leaders to accomplish the impossible. Pakatan Indian Leaders have just taken over; they are in power for less than 4 months now but there are already signs of change. It is only fair they be given at least one year to achieve what we expect of them. They have to slowly make the changes so not to anger other races after all the other races also voted for them.

Given the most recent trials and tribulations facing us politically and economically, isn't it a wonder that much was spent on fruitless pursuits namely, public discourses concerning oil-prices when, we have roofs above our children in Tamil schools that are in urgent and dire need of repairs?

Well Satees, here I would like to remind you about our struggle and aims to be achieved. As we all know, 5 Hindraf heroes have been victimised by arrogant BN . One more hero`s international passport has been revoked by this same arrogant BN, leaving his status as stateless and he has to live in London as an asylum refugee.

You n me may feel the same about the pity state of the HINDRAF 5 families. but being left with few cents in my pocket everyday (except for pay day which eventually will drain out in the first 2-3 days for paying debts), i couldn't do much to help them and i feel sorry for that.

but there are few, who say that they are showing concern for the HINDRAF 5 family becoz they "ATTEND" the rallies. whether its concern for the HINDRAF 5 family or for their ownself, you have to ask them lar. some even have the heart to ask them to stand on their own foot and cant expect everyone to spoon feed them. hmm, i wonder why they were expecting HINDRAF 5 to spoon feed them with freedom in first place.

The controversy relating to the Pusrawi Hospital report points out so clearly how the real beneficiaries of the system are all teaming up to make sure that Anwar is put away.

Police lockup death: Mother wins damages
KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 — The High Court today awarded damages to a woman who sued the police and the government for negligence over the death of her 19-year-old son while in police custody in 2003.

Justice Datuk Abdul Wahab Patail ruled that the defendants had failed to comply with the case management direction from the court.

Wahab made the decision after the defendants failed to produce the affidavits and submissions as ordered by the court.

"In the circumstances, the court enters judgment for the plaintiff, general and special damages to be assessed by the deputy registrar of the High Court," he said.

RM 2.5 Million bluff for Jalan Akob Tamil School (Tamil Nesan 15/07/08 pg 16). MIC President in his ancient and obsolete style of politics announces a big and grand 2.5 million for the rebuilding of this Tamil School. The Tamil Nesan on 10/07/08 reported that this Jalan Akob, Klang Tamil School had been without electricity for two months after its switch board got short circuited and burnt. Our web site splashed the news that this school does not have a canteen, no fencing walls, cracking and white ants eating up the school building. Despite complaint there was no action by the Education Department and if no action by 14/07/08 the students and their parents would stage a peaceful demonstration out side the school.

I wish to refer to `tak apa`mentality indians in our society in malaysia. This kind of mentality people, will always say nevermind as an excuse to avoid commitment in every aspect of their life.

USM taken 115 foreign students from 13 countries, mostly to do post graduate studies (NST 02/07/08 pg 20). But thousands of Indians are denied places in the local universities what more to do post graduate courses. UMNO would rather help foreign students prosper in their quest to make the Indians the new "coolie" (near slavery) by 2020 when Malaysia would become a fully developed country and the Malay Muslims the Masters.

Hi undergraduates,
let me explain to you about rules and regulations of universities. We have many local universities in malaysia which have its own rules and regulation. I think your university has a rules stating that strictly no to orientation. If i am not mistaken, that is the meaning I got on the sentence stated in Rajeswari`s letter. This is my advice for you if orientation is not allowed in your university, please don`t do it.
